AUDITION INFORMATION
JR CIVIC COMPANY - August 29th or August 30th, 2022 at 4:00 PM
Admission by audition only. Previous Jr. Civic class experience (or comparable) required.
For Civic's most advanced students, the Jr. Civic Company offers student actors a chance to hone their skills and expand the scope of their repertoire in a safe, professional and supportive setting.
The Jr. Civic Company is dedicated to the development of good technique regardless of performance opportunity.
- Open to students grades 4-8
- Jr. Civic Company meets September-June beginning September 21st
- Fee: $250 per session

Prerequisites:
- Previous Jr. Civic Company member
- Jr. Civic Mainstage Musical Cast
- Jr. Civic Musical Theatre Camp
- Any Intermediate or Advanced level class
- At least two sessions of Musical Theatre Essentials or Fundamentals of Acting
VACCINATION REQUIREMENT
Members of Jr. Civic Company must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as per Civic Theatre's ongoing Covid protocols.
Audition Dates
Auditions : August 29th OR 30th at 4:00 PM
Please fill out the audition form completely including uploading a headshot/recent photo and resume/listed experience. You will have the opportunity to select your audition date. Audition times will not be assigned. Those auditioning will be seen in the order they arrive on the day selected. Video auditions will be accepted only if it is impossible for you to attend in-person scheduled auditions. In general, we cannot arrange for individual times outside of the scheduled auditions. Should we deem it necessary, we MAY schedule alternate dates at a later time.

Rehearsal Dates
Jr. Civic Company meets September - June, beginning September 21st.
Fall Session (Sept. - Dec.): Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:30 PM
Spring Session (Jan. - June): Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:30 PM plus additional rehearsals for Company Showcase.
Showcase date: TBD
What To Prepare:
- Please prepare 16 bars of a Musical Theatre song. An accompanist will be provided.
- A one-minute monologue, memorized.*
- Please be prepared to dance - Movement auditions will be held after everyone has sung. Please plan to stay until that is completed. You will be given an opportunity to change shoes and clothing, if you'd prefer to do so.
