AUDITION INFORMATION
Admission by audition only. Previous Jr. Civic class experience (or comparable) required.
The Jr. Civic Company and its apprentice troupe, JCC INC., offer Civic's most advanced students the opportunity to hone their skills and expand the scope of their repertoire in a safe, professional and supportive setting.
Company members act as outstanding representatives for Jr. Civic and Civic Theatre in the community-at-large. Auditions in August are open to students age 10-14* with previous class experience.

JCC INC 2026-2027
Please welcome our newest performing troupe: JCC INC.! JCC INC. is an apprentice company that serves as an INCubator for aspiring young performers who are on the path to being a part of the Jr. Civic Company but still require additional intermediate level training. JCC INC. will convene in February, 2027, to begin rehearsals for their appearance in the Jr. Civic Company Showcase on May 5, 2027. JCC INC. replaces "RISING TALENT" from previous seasons and is open to any student who will be age 10-14 by January 1, 2027.
There is no separate audition for JCC INC. Placement in either group is at the discretion of the directors.
Fee: $200
One or more of the following prerequisites are necessary to be eligible for these auditions:
- Previous Jr. Civic Company member
- Jr. Civic Mainstage Musical Cast
- Jr. Civic Musical Theatre Camp
- Any Intermediate or Advanced level class, or comparable, class
ALL PREVIOUS COMPANY MEMBERS MUST RE-AUDITION!
Rehearsal Dates
Jr. Civic Company meets September - Early May.
Fall Session (Sept. - Jan.): Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:30 PM
Spring Session (Feb. - Early May): Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:30 PM plus additional rehearsals for Company Showcase.
Showcase date: May 5 , 2027.
What To Prepare:
- Please prepare 16 bars of a Musical Theatre song. An accompanist will be provided.
- A one-minute monologue, memorized.*
- Please be prepared to dance - Movement auditions will be held after everyone has sung. Please plan to stay until that is completed. You will be given an opportunity to change shoes and clothing, if you'd prefer to do so.
