JR. CIVIC COMPANY AUDITIONS 2025

AUDITION INFORMATION

Admission by audition only. Previous Jr. Civic class experience (or comparable) required.

The Jr. Civic Company offers Civic's most advanced students the opportunity to hone their skills and expand the scope of their repertoire in a safe, professional and supportive setting.

Company members act as outstanding representatives for Jr. Civic and Civic Theatre in the community-at-large. Auditions in August are open to students age 10-14 with previous class experience.

  • Jr. Civic Mainstage Musical Cast
  • Jr. Civic Musical Theatre Camp
  • Any Intermediate or Advanced level class

Jr. Civic RISING TALENT 2025-2026

Introduced last season, the Jr. Civic RISING TALENT program is an auditioned group of ambitious and talented 9-year-olds who will meet in the spring of 2026 and will participate in the Jr. Civic Company Showcase on April 29th. This program is a natural stepping stone and training ground for those youngsters interested in auditioning for the Jr. Civic Company when they are 10. We will announce a separate audition date for this season’s troupe later this year.

Prerequisites for RISING TALENT:

  • Jr. Civic Mainstage Musical Cast
  • Jr. Civic Musical Theatre Camp
  • Any Intermediate or Advanced level class
  • At least two sessions of Musical Theatre I or Acting I

ALL PREVIOUS COMPANY MEMBERS MUST RE-AUDITION!

Auditions : August 27th or 28th at 4:30 PM

Rehearsal Dates

Jr. Civic Company meets September - April.

Fall Session (Sept. - Dec.): Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:30 PM

Spring Session (Jan. - April): Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:30 PM plus additional rehearsals for Company Showcase.

Showcase date: April 29, 2026


What To Prepare:

  • Please prepare 16 bars of a Musical Theatre song.  An accompanist will be provided.
  • A one-minute monologue, memorized.*
  • Please be prepared to dance - Movement auditions will be held after everyone has sung. Please plan to stay until that is completed. You will be given an opportunity to change shoes and clothing, if you'd prefer to do so.
