Young Artists Program
In addition to two fully-staged productions in the summer, Civic Theatre’s Young Artists Program (YAP) is a year-round series of workshops and seminars designed just for high school students interested in improving their skills in a professional setting and looking to prepare for college auditions and beyond.
All workshops are taught by performers and instructors with extensive experience locally, regionally and nationally. YAP also includes intensive rehearsals, specialized workshops and performances. Training will focus on developing the skills needed to succeed professionally, including character development, vocal coaching and advanced dance technique.

ALL LEVELS Tap Dance for YAP & Adults!
Students of all levels a learn mad tap skills and choreography from the delightful Ian Black, professional singer/dancer/actor and no stranger to Civic's stage. Ian has performed locally with the Indianapolis Symphony, Beef & Boards, Civic and ATI as well as regionally with San Diego Musical Theatre, Candlelight Dinner Theatre and Moonlight Stage, among others. Tap shoes are required for this class.

Musical Theatre Dance for YAP & Adults with Anne Beck
Hone your performance skills and audition technique while learning original Broadway choreography with our own Anne Beck! This class is perfect for learning how to master a dance call. All skill levels are welcome.
