According to the Book of Genesis, Joseph is so favored by his doting father that his jealous brothers plot against him, selling him into Egyptian slavery. But Joseph is blessed with prophetic dreams which impresses the Elvis-type ruler of Egypt, and when his prophesies save the country from famine, Joseph is well on his way to becoming the Pharaoh's right-hand man.
