REFUND POLICY
All refund requests must be made two weeks prior to the first class. Cancellations up to two weeks prior to the start of the workshop will be refunded 50%. No refunds will be made after this time. If Civic Theatre cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class will be refunded. Participants will not receive refunds or prorated fees for partially attended classes.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT
In accordance with our mission as a community theatre, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre is pleased to offer need-based Scholarships to families who may not otherwise be able to participate in our programs. Eligibility for Education Scholarships is based on the same criteria as your school system’s Free Lunch Program and the Federal Income Chart. A recommendation by a school principal or community leader (minister, notary, etc.) is required to participate. A payment plan may also be arranged for most programs. Contact Holly Stults at (317) 853-6317 or email education@civictheatre.org to arrange for Scholarships or a flexible payment schedule.
PLACEMENT
Jr. Civic employs a standard evaluation procedure at the end of each class. Students will be recommended to move on to the next class level (if applicable) according to a carefully-designed rubric that assesses individual growth and ability. Placement in any class is at the discretion of the instructor and the Director of Education.
Play Pass
Take a class, enjoy a play!
All students enrolling in any Civic class will receive one PLAY PASS that can be exchanged for one ticket to any Civic Theatre Mainstage show. Passes will be distributed on the final day of class and are eligible for use immediately. Simply call the Box Office to reserve your ticket(s) and mention that you have a PLAY PASS. Then bring your pass with you to the theatre and exchange it at the Box Office for your reserved ticket. Students MUST reserve their ticket in advance by calling the Center for the Performing Arts Box Office at 317-843-3800. Any questions regarding Play Pass redemption can be directed to tickets@civictheatre.org.
