From Page to Stage

  • 1 ½ hr. class – 8 sessions (limit 10)
  • Grades 4-6 & 6-8
  • $150 (includes materials)

Engage! React! Refine!
This class is designed to build on previous classroom or performing experience. Working in the larger and technically outfitted Rehearsal Hall, students review and strengthen basic skills and learn how to explore and analyze the content of a script, ultimately understanding how to rehearse and present scenes and monologues. Through structured exercises in adaptation and performance of dramatic literature, students examine point-of-view to discover how plays come to life.

FALL SESSION
Grades 4-5:  Tues. (9/11 – 10/30) 4:30 – 6:00
Grades 6-8:  Thur. (9/13 – 11/8) 4:30 – 6:00 (no class on 10/18)

WINTER SESSION
Grades 4-5:  Tues. (1/22-3/12) 4:30 – 6:00
Grades 6-8:  Thur. (1/24 – 3/14) 4:30 – 6:00

SPRING SESSION
Grades 4-5:  Sat. (4/27 – 6/22) 10:00 – 11:30 (no class on 5/25)
Grades 6-8:  Sat. (4/27 – 6/22) 11:30 – 1:00 (no class on 5/25)
