Spotlight Series for Seniors 65+

We are proud to introduce The Spotlight Series!  A series of educational, recreational and affordable workshops for lifelong learners interested in expanding their horizons via the world of theatre.  This series will feature a rotating roster of classes with curriculum designed to challenge and satisfy.

PLAY READING
8-Week Session— Tuesdays, Jan. 3-Mar. 6 or Mar. 20-May 22
1:00-2:00pm at the Tarkington
Cost: $120.00

This class will explore the playwright’s craft from the inside.  Reading plays can open the mind to a whole new level of imagination as stories come to life through the eyes of the actor, director and designer.  Classic and contemporary scripts will be explored and dissected under the tutelage of some of Civic’s best and brightest directors and educators in a fun, comfortable and thought-provoking setting.

The Play Reading class will meet once a week for 8 weeks.

MOVEMENT

Get ready to get your toes tapping and your arms waving!  This musical theatre-based movement class will feature mild aerobic activities specifically designed for “late-bloomers” and “old pros” alike!  No experience is necessary to sit, stand or roll through our fun and uplifting exercises that will have you counting the hours (and beats per measure) until you return.

The Movement class will meet once a week for 8 weeks.
