An this comical tale of love, hope, and rejuvenation, Lotty and Rose feel that 1920's London post World War I seems as gray and dreary as their disintegrating marriages. When the ladies discover a chance for an Italian vacation, they resolve to make their getaway without their unappreciative husbands. With the company of a proper old Englishwoman and a beautiful, mysterious socialite, Lotty and Rose set out for a holiday that will change their worlds forever. In a sunlit, Italian villa, the ladies reclaim their lives with friendship, tears, laughter and a renewed longing for their distant husbands. After some unexpected arrivals appear at the villa, the ladies may not be the only ones to transform during this enchanted April.
